Strengthening Elderly Resilience Through Physical Training in Earthquake-Prone Areas
Penguatan Ketahanan Lansia Melalui Pelatihan Fisik di Daerah Gempa Bumi

Lansia merupakan kelompok rentan yang mengalami penurunan kekuatan otot, keseimbangan, mobilitas, dan kapasitas fungsional akibat proses penuaan. Kondisi tersebut dapat meningkatkan risiko jatuh, frailty, ketergantungan, dan kesulitan melakukan evakuasi ketika terjadi gempa bumi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kapasitas fisik lansia melalui pelatihan aktivitas fisik multikomponen sebagai bagian dari upaya meningkatkan ketahanan lansia di daerah rawan gempa bumi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Home Care Facility, Prefektur Saitama, Jepang. Metode kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Intervensi meliputi edukasi aktivitas fisik lansia dan pelatihan multikomponen yang terdiri atas latihan kekuatan otot, keseimbangan, fleksibilitas, daya tahan, serta latihan fungsional. Kapasitas fisik peserta dievaluasi melalui Timed Up and Go Test (TUG) dan 30-Second Chair Stand Test, sedangkan proses pelatihan dilakukan dengan pendampingan tenaga caregiver. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya respons positif dan peningkatan keterlibatan peserta dalam melakukan latihan fisik serta pemahaman mengenai pentingnya mempertahankan kapasitas fisik untuk menghadapi kondisi darurat. Pelatihan juga meningkatkan kemampuan tenaga pendamping dalam memberikan latihan fisik sederhana dan aman bagi lansia. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa latihan fisik multikomponen dapat menjadi pendekatan promotif dan preventif untuk mempertahankan fungsi fisik, kemandirian, dan kesiapsiagaan lansia dalam menghadapi risiko gempa bumi.
